Vivo has a new phone series called the X500. It first came out in China on September 21, 2026, says Digit. It reached other countries in late October. There are three phones: the X500, X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max. India is said to be next, but Vivo has not shared a date or a price.
What We Know
Latestly says the X500 Pro and Pro Max use a new MediaTek chip called the Dimensity 9600 Pro. It says they are the first phones with this chip. The plain X500 uses a different chip, the Dimensity 9600M, says Cashify.
Cashify lists these features for the Pro Max: a big 6.85-inch screen, a 200MP zoom camera and an 8,000mAh battery. It charges fast with a 90W charger. The global version has a smaller 7,800mAh battery, says Business Outreach. So phones can differ from country to country.
Prices Outside India
In Europe, Latestly says the X500 Pro costs EUR 1,399 and the Pro Max costs EUR 1,599. Both prices are for the 256GB version. These prices include high local taxes, says Business Outreach. So the price in India could be quite different. In China, the Pro Max starts at CNY 6,999, says Digit.
What About India?
Smartprix says Vivo will bring all three phones to India by the end of November. It got this from a source. My Mobile India says a tipster points to November 25. Vivo has not confirmed the date, the models or any price.
People are guessing the prices, and the guesses are far apart. My Mobile India says about Rs 79,000 for the X500, Rs 93,000 for the X500 Pro and Rs 1 lakh for the Pro Max. Digit thinks the Pro Max could cost Rs 1.6 to 1.9 lakh. These are only guesses.
Is It Faster Than Snapdragon Phones?
We do not know. We found no independent tests that compare the Dimensity 9600 Pro with Qualcomm’s newest Snapdragon chips. So nobody can say yet which one is faster. For most buyers, the camera, the battery and the Indian price will matter more.
What It Means
The launch in China and other countries is confirmed. The India date, the India price and the India models are not. The two price guesses are almost double apart, so do not plan to buy based on them. Wait for Vivo’s official price in India and a few reviews from independent testers.
