On 5 November 2026, Motorola is launching the Signature 27 globally, according to 9to5Google, which reports that the company confirmed the date on its official X account. The phone was first shown at Qualcomm’s Snapdragon Summit in September.
The India confirmation
BusinessToday reports that Motorola has announced the Signature 27 for India, after showing it at India Mobile Congress 2026. That makes an Indian launch official. We could not find an official Indian date or price, so any figures circulating online should be treated as unconfirmed.
What the phone offers
Android Authority reports that the Signature 27 is the first phone announced with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. GSMArena reports that the chip is paired with Motorola’s ArcticMesh cooling system, which has a vapour chamber 40 percent larger than the previous generation’s.
TechRepublic’s cheat sheet lists a 50MP Sony LYTIA 910 main camera and a 200MP periscope telephoto among its confirmed or previewed specifications. BusinessToday reports that the telephoto offers Super Zoom Pro, with up to 100x zoom using generative AI. PCQuest notes that this 100x figure is AI-assisted, not optical.
Android Authority also reports a promise of seven years of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. Motorola has not published India-specific specifications, so the Indian version could differ from the global one.
The update promise
Seven years of support is long for an Android phone. For buyers who keep a phone for four or five years, it could matter as much as the chipset. Motorola has not said whether the same commitment applies to the Indian model.
How it compares with rivals
We could not find independent benchmarks for the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 in the Signature 27, and we could not confirm sustained-performance results for the ArcticMesh cooling system. Other brands are also reported to be preparing phones with this chip, including the iQOO 16, but we could not confirm its Indian launch date or the price of any of these phones.
